Maryland Film Festival 2012
This was my first year shooting photos for the Maryland Film Festival and it was such a blast. Every single film I saw was great.
I used my Yashica half-frame camera for the first time in awhile and shot film. Fun fact: half-frame cameras derive directly from motion picture technology.

GOOD Pictures: Go Outside
This week on GOOD Pictures, I’m channeling the posi-vibes from all the amazing travel I’ve done in 2012 so far and highlighting Julie Ann Tingley. Her shots from Wyoming and Tennessee let you imagine yourself in these gorgeous locations—misty, hushed and expansive.
I shot a ton of photos at this month’s Deep in the Game, which hosted the amazing Sharon Needles.
This show was unreal. Sharon was amazing and brought out a ton of weirdos.

Psyched to showcase Matthew Yake and his series In the Studio this week on GOOD Pictures.
In the Studio is a pretty straightforward project: Matthew Yake photographs artists in their studios, surrounded by the materials they use to make their artwork. The majority of artists featured here are from Baltimore.

Deep in the Game - April 2012.
Josh Sisk + I set up a photo booth at the Hippo this weekend and shot party pictures at Deep in the Game. It was SO FUN.

Photos from the Soft House photo booth are now posted on Happicake. Such a blast shooting these and there’s still more to come.
